Our Pad Yatra or walking pilgrimage will start from Mumbai, the financial capital of India and the capital of Maharashtra state. Mumbai houses the headquarters of all major banks, financial institutions, insurance companies in India. India's largest stock exchange Bombay Stock Exchange, the oldest in Asia, is also located in the city.

His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa will be giving teaching on various subjects, especially connected with "Spiritual Practice in Mundane Life".

The total walking distance is approximately 300km over 29 days, covering the holy places blessed by the historical Buddhist saints

Successful registrants will receive a detail copy of the schedule, however the schedule may be subject to minor adjustments, as His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa may readjust the journey as the situation requires.

It is important that you register if you wish to join in the walking pilgrimage, as a respect to the participating masters, the ordained and lay practitioners and the organizers. For security reasons, the organizers will reserve the right to refuse entry and registration. Please send in your registration soon for our immediate processing.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Please submit the registration form first before making any payment. Your registration will be under consideration upon receipt and we will send an email to confirm acceptance/non-acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse any registration at our sole discretion. The registration team will submit your registration to the screening committee for acceptance of your registration. However if registration is not permitted due to past records of misbehavior and/or other reasons that can be disturbing to the walking pilgrimage in part or in whole, we shall refund the registration fee if you have already paid. Therefore we advise that payment should not be made until your registration is accepted.

NO REFUND is possible after registration is complete with payment. As soon as we receive your registration, the travel agency as well as the monastics will start purchasing and preparing for all the necessary materials for the pilgrimage. A portion of the registration fee will go to support the teachers, monks and nuns going on the pilgrimage. Registration is also not refundable should you discontinue the journey at any one point or should you change your mind before the journey begins.

All pilgrims participating in this walking pilgrimage are expected to strictly adhere to the etiquettes of those in retreat. There will be a disciplinary team that will guard the situation at their best ability. Should there be misbehavior or offensive actions not adhering to the etiquettes, pilgrims will be requested to leave the group immediately so that others can continue their walking retreat without further delay.

Words of Wisdom

On this small planet, in the daily dreams of our life, beneficial deeds are always recommended, simply because we are all born to help each other.

By sharing our love with different expressions and through the practice of generosity, morality and understanding, we will then be fulfilling our purpose of being members of the human race.
