“A spiritual heritage can only be sustained by qualified spiritual practitioners who can carry on the spiritual tradition for the benefit of others. A heritage is not just a building or a historical monument, a heritage can be something which is still alive and still contributing to the positive development of human nature.”
- His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa

Spiritual education is badly needed to sustain the spiritual legacy that has donned the history of Ladakh for the past millennium. With the Drukpa Lineage being probably the most dominant spiritual tradition in Ladakh, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa sees this as an opportune time to establish a full-fledged monastic school for young monks.

Foundation has already been laid. Depending on the availability of funds, once completed, the school will be providing spiritual and vocational education to approximately 800 young monks, so that they will be grounded in spiritual practice and practical living. When certain novice monks decide at some point to discontinue their monkhood, they will still be able to live as good human beings, contributing positively to their society.

Let's come together to make a difference!
